Introduction.
This document only applies to the BusinessConnect BV (hereafter mentioned : "BusinessConnect") network - AS15693.
Meeting the peering guidelines presented in this document is not a guarantee that a peering relationship with BusinessConnect will be established. BusinessConnect shall evaluate a number of business factors and reserves the right not to enter into a peering agreement with an otherwise qualified applicant.

Peering requirements.
  • Peering with customers or customers of existing peering partners is not possible.
  • Interpretation of this Peering Policy and Resolution of any disputes will be done according Dutch Law and the courts of Amsterdam in the Netherlands shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
  • Requesting peering to AS15693.
    An ISP seeking peering with BusinessConnect should submit its request in writing via email providing a brief description of its network including such information as:
  • whether it has a single-country or regional network;
  • a list of autonomous system numbers and prefixes served; and
  • a description of the type of traffic carried by the network. Applications for peering should be submitted to peering (at) as15693 (dot) net.

    Changes to the peering policy.
    Existing peers of AS15693 will have their peering status reviewed periodically to ensure joint capacity planning and to ensure that all criteria continue to be met.
    BusinessConnect reserves the right to terminate peering for convenience, upon a 3 months prior notice or with peers who do not meet the criteria described above.

    BusinessConnect AS15693 peering ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY (AUP)
    BusinessConnect in no way condones or tolerates any forms of abuse on our network (AS15693) or the Internet.
    • BusinessConnects network and/or services must be used in a manner that is consistent with their intended purposes and may be used only for lawful purposes.
    • BusinessConnect is not responsible for any material created or accessible on or through our networks and/or services that is not posted by or at the request of BusinessConnect. BusinessConnect does not monitor nor exercise any editorial control over such material, but reserves the right to do so to the extent permitted by applicable law.
    • BusinessConnect is not responsible for the content of any web sites other than our company websites, including for the content of web sites linked to our websites. Links are provided as Internet navigation tools only.
    • BusinessConnect takes reasonable security measures to protect the proper operation of the AS15693 network against negative outside influences. However, peers should not rely on such measures for the protection of its own equipment and data.
    • Peers are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of our AS15693 customers networks, including, without limitation, by:
      • Accessing data not intended for peer or logging into a server or account which peer is not authorized to access;
      • Attempting to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of a system or network or to breach security or authentication measures without proper authorization;
      • Attempting to interfere with, disrupt or disable service to any user, host or network, including, without limitation, via means of overloading, “flooding”, “mail bombing”, “crashing” or any other form (but not limited to) of “(Distributed) Denial of Service Attack”;
      • Taking any action in order to obtain services to which peer is not entitled. Violations of system or network security may result in civil or criminal liability.
      • BusinessConnect will investigate occurrences that may involve such violations and may involve, and cooperate with, law enforcement authorities in prosecuting Users who are involved in such violations.
    • The transmitted data may only be used by the peer for their own operational purposes, e.g. network management, billing or determining abusive connections.

    AUP enforcement and notice
    Peer’s failure to observe the guidelines set forth in this AUP may result in BusinessConnect taking actions anywhere from a warning to a suspension or termination of peering.
    When feasible, BusinessConnect may provide peer with a notice of an AUP violation via e-mail or otherwise allowing the peer to promptly correct such violation.
    BusinessConnect reserves the right, however, to act immediately and without notice to suspend or terminate affected peering sessions.

    Incident Reporting
    Any complaints (other than claims of copyright or trademark infringement) regarding violation of this AUP by a BusinessConnect peer (or its customer) should be directed to the mailaddress peering (at) as15693 (dot) net. Also, we've a form available at our corporate website (https://businessconnect.nl/abuse/).
    Where possible, include details that would assist us in investigating and resolving such complaint (e.g. IP address(s), a copy of the offending transmission and any log files).

    Periodic review of the this policy will be conducted to ensure that the criteria and eligibility requirements are consistent with BusinessConnect business needs.
    BusinessConnect may modify this peering policy at any time.
